Outlier Studio were approached by a leader from the nationwide youth group Urban Saints to create a deck of educational cards for their Guildford, all boys group, summer camp. The brief was simple, they must have an illustration, a Bible verse and be just as successful large (A3). The Bible verses were picked out by the youth leaders, they all came from the book of John with the intent to expand to other Biblical books in the future.

Outlier Studio interpreted the verses with the support of the leaders to provide visual prompts for the youth to aid their Biblical studies. The images needed to be true to the Biblical times but also to reflect the diversity of the audience using the cards. We had complete design freedom to develop the illustration style of the cards, we designed the layout, colour scheme and created the illustrations.
